If you don\u2019t post often, this breakup is your chance to change that. Don\u2019t go crazy but if you\u2019re able to post a new picture or tweet every day then you\u2019re on the right track.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Improve your appearance<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

When we get into a relationship it\u2019s pretty common to let ourselves go a little. We don\u2019t always make the effort to look our best because we\u2019re off the market and we\u2019re loved. Well now\u2019s the time to change that.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

You need to make some changes and improvements to your appearance.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Get a new haircut. Buy some new clothes. Wash your damn face. It doesn\u2019t take a lot.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

You just have to show positive movement despite the breakup. <\/strong>When your ex sees you they\u2019ll have that \u201cwho\u2019s that\u201d moment for a split second and that will get them off guard.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This new you can be whoever you want it to be. Maybe you\u2019ve always wanted piercings or tattoos? Go crazy.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Plus, a new haircut is a great excuse to post a picture.<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Be mysterious<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

It\u2019s tempting to show off every aspect of your life on social media and to brag about all the fun you\u2019re having when you\u2019re trying to make your ex jealous.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

But I\u2019ve found my clients have more success when they keep things a little mysterious.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

If you can make your ex wonder about you, their mind will run wild. This is more effective if they don\u2019t know for sure what you\u2019re doing or who you\u2019re with.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This is a great way of influencing them without having to do anything at all.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

With that in mind if you use mysterious captions and don\u2019t be super obvious about who you\u2019re with or what you\u2019re doing, it will drive them crazy.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Take better selfies<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Proper lighting is key. Ditch the dirty bathroom mirror. Get a friend to take the photo so you can get a better angle.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Take a bunch and pick the best one.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Practice makes perfect<\/strong> so start taking more selfies and you\u2019ll get more comfortable in front of the camera. Remember, you don\u2019t have to post them all.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

An ideal selfie has a good background. If you\u2019re nervous, it\u2019s great to post a selfie at an event, with friends, or doing something fun.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Show don\u2019t tell<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Some of my clients take my advice very literally.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

If you post \u201chaving lots of fun with my friends lately. #blessed\u201d it can look weird and desperate especially if it\u2019s out of character for you.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Whereas a photo of you at an outdoor barbecue with a drink in your hand surrounded by people having fun is going to work wonders.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Try new things<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

A breakup is a great chance to try new things.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

It\u2019s a great way to get out of your comfort zone and stop thinking about the breakup. But these new activities can work double duty.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Post photos of yourself trying new things. <\/em>Maybe kayaking, rock climbing, travelling. It can be as simple as going to a new restaurant.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

If your ex sees you levelling up your hobbies and your life without them they\u2019re going to start thinking about you differently <\/strong>and worrying that you\u2019re moving on.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Take photos with attractive people<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

If you\u2019re serious about making your ex jealous, it can help to post pics with attractive people.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

If they think you might have replaced them with a better model, they\u2019re going to be kicking themselves and blowing up your phone before you know it.<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

If you can get a quick snap of you standing close to someone attractive with both of you smiling, you\u2019re on the right track.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Just post the pic on your Instagram story without a caption and they\u2019ll fear the worst.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Bonus points if they\u2019re hotter than your ex<\/strong>!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Take breaks<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

If you post too much you may actually hurt your chances.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

In effect, you\u2019re weaning them off you by still providing them with updates on your life and giving them a chance to see you even if it\u2019s not directly.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This is why you should randomly take a few days off here and there. Make them wonder where you are.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

If you\u2019re suddenly MIA they may think that your phone is off because you\u2019re in bed with someone else.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
